Journey to Justice

Journey

Statue of Liberty seen from the Circle Line ferry, Manhattan, New YorkYou have heard the saying that life is a journey. It is an appropriate metaphor leading one to consider the planning and preparation required in undertaking a journey, especially a lengthy one. The journey metaphor also conjures thoughts of unexpected events both good and bad, and what consequences might result. Planning – preparation – dealing with unexpected events: all these critical areas of human activity are facilitated by law. For example, law provides the rules for purchase contracts, such as when buying a home, and insurance contracts, such as when purchasing disability or life insurance. Law also provides a means by which you may seek redress for harms done to you by others. Many have not reached their life-goals or have not received compensation for economic harms suffered because of a lack of knowledge about the law or because of lack of access to the legal system. Don’t you fail to prepare for life’s journey – know your rights, protect your interest, live by the golden rule, and see your attorney sooner rather than later.

Justice

Consitution of the United States and Feather QuillJustice is done when a person is treated fairly by the legal system. We all want justice; we all want fair treatment. While the goal may be justice for all, it doesn’t always work that way. Sometimes those with wealth achieve better outcomes but often it is those who simply believe the system works and who are willing to fight for their rights to the extent the system will allow. Don’t you fail to make a proper use of the law to position yourself to win the fight for justice – know your rights, protect your interests, live by the golden rule, and see your attorney sooner rather than later.
